Vice President of Downstream Policy, American Petroleum Institute
Will Hupman’s responsibilities in his current capacity with the American Petroleum Institute (API) include managing the development and implementation of policies in fuels, marketing, refining, downstream health, environment and safety sectors.
Prior to his role at API, Hupman led federal government affairs efforts for The Sherwin-Williams Company. He also previously served as Senior Director of Federal Relations at API, where he advanced the association’s policy positions and advocacy strategies. Before joining API, Hupman worked as a Legislative Director and Counsel on Capitol Hill for two Members of Congress.
Hupman received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University.
