Ryan LeGrand

President & Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Grains CouncilĀ 

Ryan LeGrand works to promote the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGs) in his current capacity with the U.S. Grains Council.

 

With full-time presence in 13 key markets and representatives in an additional 15 locations, the Council operates programs in more than 50 countries and the European Union. The Council supports global economic development through partnerships, enabling U.S. agriculture’s profitability.

 

LeGrand brings decades of experience in export grain trading and market development. Fluent in Spanish, LeGrand spent much of his career in Mexico. Before joining the U.S. Grains Council, he began his career as an export trader at Garvey International before going on to lead multinational teams at Hawkeye Gold and Gavilon.

 

LeGrand also serves as Vice Chair of the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee and is a member of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy Negotiations, a presidentially appointed advisory committee to the United States Trade Representative.

 

LeGrand grew up in Oklahoma and earned a degree in International Business from Oklahoma State University.
