Joe Griffin

CEO, Summit Carbon Solutions

Joe Griffin, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Summit Carbon Solutions, brings more than 38 years of experience in the pipeline infrastructure industry and a track record of building strong partnerships and delivering complex infrastructure projects. His leadership reflects a fresh, forward-looking approach to advancing Summit’s mission and supporting the communities where the company operates.

Mr. Griffin co-founded Intensity Infrastructure Partners in 2023 and is a Board Member. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Sendero Midstream Partners beginning in June 2021 until its sale to Crestwood Equity Partners LP in July 2022. He also co-founded Intensity Midstream in 2015, serving as its CEO and Board Member until June 2021.

Before launching Intensity, Mr. Griffin was Chief Executive Officer, President, and Board Member of Hiland Partners, LP (owned by Harold Hamm) from June 2007 until Hiland’s acquisition by Kinder Morgan, Inc. in February 2015. From 2004 to 2007, he served as Executive Vice President overseeing multiple aspects of Lumen Midstream Company, a subsidiary of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. He co-founded Lumen Midstream in 1989, held senior management positions, and served as a Board Member until its sale to the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in 2004.

Mr. Griffin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. He is an active volunteer in the Tulsa community, supporting organizations such as Grand Mental Health and San Miguel Middle School, and serves on Special Committees for Bishop Kelley High School. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
