Al Giese was born and raised in Northwest Iowa. He attended Buena Vista University where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration and University of Missouri where he earned a Master’s in Ag Economics.

Al is a U.S. Army veteran. He also had a 34-year career with Land ‘O Lakes Inc. and affiliated entities serving as President/CEO of Agriliance and Cenex Land ‘O Lakes Agronomy Company, the nation’s largest crop inputs supplier, and Senior Vice President of commodity purchasing/logistics and risk management for Land ‘O Lakes Purina Feed.

He is the recipient of the NAMA’s “Agri-marketer of the year” award and sits on numerous company and trade association boards. Currently that includes IRFA, Quad County Corn Processors, and ISU Grain Quality Initiative.

Today Al farms (crops and cattle) in NW Iowa and owns Prairie Feed and Trucking.  He resides in Spirit Lake, IA with his wife Barb.
